Once Upon a Time is a magical role play village designed to bring fairy tales to life. With a beautifully designed story themed village, children can explore in the company of some of their favourite story characters and let their imagination soar.
Founded and created by a book loving primary teacher, Once Upon a Time has the magic of imagination at its very heart, with every aspect designed to inspire and create a space where anything is possible.
Shop alongside your child in Granny’s Groceries or find a story to read at the Beanstalk book shop, there’s something for everyone.
With our secured site and open plan play area, Once Upon a Time has been created to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all attending.
Our café provides snacks, light meals and drinks for both children and adults, sourcing items from small local businesses where possible.
Play sessions will run at set times each day and can be booked through our website. Each session will have limited spaces, meaning that online booking is essential.

Rules of Play
Children are to be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Parents/guardians should make sure that children understand and follow safe and appropriate behaviour. Management will not tolerate bullying or inappropriate language or behaviour.
Children should be discouraged from running within the venue.
Please keep food and drink within the seated area. No food or drink is allowed in the play areas.
Only food and drink purchased within the venue is to be consumed.
Please report accidents, injuries or faulty equipment to a member of staff.
For safeguarding reasons, please be careful not to photograph other people’s children.
Each session runs for 90 minutes at the end of the sessions please encourage your children to help to tidy away a few things to help us to prepare for the next session.
Once Upon a Time cannot accept responsibility for any loss or theft of customer belongings.

Once Upon a time are pleased to provide this facility and whilst we work hard to ensure it is as safe as possible, accidents can still occasionally happen.
We cannot therefore accept responsibility for injury or damage to clothing whilst using the play village. We are not a childcare facility and so continual parental supervision is essential.
